METHOD OF APPLICATION
1/ APICAL BUD INFESTATION

A/ APPLICATION
​
In case of apical bud infestation the application of the composition is done by gravitation, by removing the palms that come out of the apical bud, then pouring the product in the center of the new leaves.
​
The product flows along these leaves, penetrates directly into the heart of the apical bud to the meristem and fills all the galleries created by the larvae as well as the natural crevices.
This application can be carried out while pouring Palmrea X1 directly into the heart of palms (for small palm trees reaching man's height) or from a high point (such as a nacelle or ladder) for tall palm trees .

The application is done gradually, preferably to saturation, the consistency of the composition advantageously allowing it to remain a long time inside the apical bud thus limiting the impact on the fauna and flora peripheral, as well as the pollution of water and land.

B/ QUANTITY OF PRODUCT
​
On most palm trees from 1 to 3 liters are usually necessary to get rid of the infestation.
On the specific case of date palms from 5 to 10 liters can be necessary based on the size of the palm and the infestation level.

C/ FREQUENCES OF TREATMENTS
​
Minimum 2 treatments per year depending on infestation level.
2 – TRUNK INFESTATION

A/ APPLICATION
​
In case of infestation on the trunk due to offshoots removals, Palmrea X1 will be preferentially injected directly in the trunk above the level of infestation.
In the injection method, trunks of the selected date palms are drilled up to 30 cm deep at 5 places around the trunk, 50 cm above the infestation area.
Palmrea X1 solution is delivered into the date palm trunk using specialized delivering system (injection cannula).
The injection is made under low pressure.
The solution then flows down by gravitation, using the galleries of the larvae and passing through the fiber of the trunk.
All larvae, pupae or adults in contact with the product inside the palm tree will be killed.
